According to the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office, 622
individuals were prosecuted for felonies in 2015. Out of those 622 individuals,
96% were convicted. Rockland County even has a dedicated drug task force. In 2015, that task
force conducted 164 investigations and made 162 arrests. Law enforcement
is tough on crime in Rockland County, and so is the state, resulting in
not only a high arrest rate but also a high conviction rate.

County’s is the lowest in New York. Violent crime arrests decreased
by 45.9% from 2002 to 2012, and property crime rates decreased during
that same period by 33.6%. Regarding domestic violence reports, in 2015, Putnam County received
50 total reports by intimate partners and 74 total reports from some other
family victim. There were also 19 total juvenile arrests in 2015.
Westchester County Crime Statistics
As of 2015, the population of Westchester County was 976,316. The index
crime count was 12,230 and the rate was 1,252.7. Violent crime count was
2,145 and the rate was 219.7. The property crime count was 10,085 and
the rate was 1,033. Regarding domestic violence, in 2015, Westchester County received 1,538
total reports involving an intimate partner, and 2,184 total reports involving
someone other than an intimate partner. There were also 413 juvenile arrests in 2015.

If you’re coming from Spring Valley, good news, you’re only about a 15-minute drive away! Take North Main
Street and follow Ewing Avenue to Northbrook Road in Hillcrest, then take
West Clarkstown Road and New Hempstead Road to North Main Street in New City.
If you’re coming from Haverstraw, you’re only about 10 minutes away. Take New Main Street and then
turn left onto Conger Avenue, slight right onto Short Clove, then continue
onto Haverstraw Road. Next, slight left onto Haverstraw Road/Old Route
304, then turn left onto North Main Street.
If you’re coming from Nyack, you’re going to follow North Broadway and 5th Avenue to North Highland Avenue. Take US-9W to NY-304 S in Clarkstown.
Continue on NY-304 South and drive to North Main Street in New City.
If you’re coming from Stony Point, your drive is going to be about 15 minutes south. The fastest route is
typically via Co Rd 33. Take Central Drive and turn left onto Co Rd 33.
Next, turn right onto Ramapo Road, Turn left onto Co Rd 33, and then turn
left again onto Phillips Hill Road. Finally, turn right onto North Main Street.
If you’re coming from South Nyack, your trip will be about 10 miles (or 20 minutes) north via US-9W N. Follow
Clinton Avenue to South Franklin Street, then take US-9W to NY-304 S in
Clarkstown. Continue on NY-304 S and drive to North Main Street in New City.
If you’re coming from Suffern, you’ll have about a 25 minute drive east. From Wayne Avenue, continue
onto US-202 E. Then, turn right onto Grandview Avenue, and then a left
onto Union Road. Continue onto New Hempstead Road until you see North
Main Street where you’ll turn left.
If you’re coming from Orangetown, you’ll be heading north on NY-303 toward Glenshaw Street. Turn left
onto Casper Hill Road and then continue onto Kings Highway. Turn left
onto Congers, right onto Goebel, left onto NY-304 S, right onto Squadron,
and then a right onto North Main Street.
If you’re coming from Ramapo, you’ll have about a 20 minute trip east. Take Spook Rock Road until
you reach Grandview Avenue and turn right. Then, turn left onto Union
Road, continue onto New Hempstead Road, and then turn left onto North

north. Take Boxberger Road to Old Mill Road. Then, take Co Rd 13 and Congers
Road to Squadron in New City. Finally, turn right onto Squadron and then
